New Qlik features
Now that the summer holidays are over, it's a good time to take a closer look at the recent updates of Qlik. In the first half of 2024, the functionality of Qlik (Cloud) will be significantly expanded. Below is a selection of the best updates and new functionalities:
Visual Analytics & Advanced Authoring
The sheet navigation has been greatly improved and expanded with the option to group sheets. The cyclic groups are also back and better than ever; you have the option to group a number of dimensions and control several visualizations at the same time. This makes it easy to create multi-functional objects.
Data Preparation in Qlik Cloud
The script editor has been given a makeover; it is now available as a separate object from the HUB. Furthermore, the same functionality has been added to the data load editor, making full data previews available immediately. Also, functionality has been added to easily disable all STORE statements for testing.
Enterprise Reporting, Collaboration & Alerting
Qlik Tabular reporting is now available in Qlik Cloud Analytics. With the Qlik Add-in for Microsoft Excel, you can easily design reports from your own desktop. With the in-app report task, you can then distribute them to the recipients. Recipients do not need a Qlik license for this. On-Demand reports are also available; this allows Qlik users to download the report directly from the app.
Augmented analytics
AI Assisted Authoring helps you create your analyses with new capabilities like time series decomposition and trend and forecast analysis, helping you spot trends and better predict future outcomes. Communicating insights is also simplified with the addition of a Natural Language Usage API, which enables you to run and share analyses in natural language. It’s supported in over 10 languages, making it easy for a wider audience to access valuable insights.
With the new one GenAI Connectors you can now easily connect to Azure OpenAI, Databricks, a AWS Bedrock, which allows for even better integration of AI models and machine learning in your analyses. In addition, there are new possibilities for integrations and applications, such as public endpoints for various interactions, including Analysis Types, Conversational Analytics en Natural Language Generation (NLG). This provides more flexibility in setting up analyses and communicating results. Finally, you can now integrate analyses directly with Microsoft Teams, making collaboration within your organization even easier.
Qlik AutoML
Qlik’s Auto Machine Learning functionality has also been improved. Thanks to Intelligent Model Optimization, you can now automatically optimize the accuracy and performance of your models.
Improved navigation makes working in Qlik AutoML faster and more efficient, while the ability to update datasets between experiment versions means you can always count on up-to-date data, even when testing different model versions.
Powerful new capabilities have also been added for automated feature engineering. With free-text and date-based feature engineering, new insights from text and dates are now generated completely automatically, without the need for manual effort. Finally, Qlik AutoML now supports Parquet files, making data storage and processing more efficient.
