Client managed

New styling options have been added for a large number of visualizations. For example, fonts, size, color and emphasis can now be changed for the combination chart and pivot table. A custom background (image) can also be added to the various objects. The sheet itself can also be provided with its own background and the background grid can be fully customized to give you more control over the placement of objects.

Diagram animations

Additionally, an improvement has been made to the chart animations, showing a smooth transition from the old to the new value when making selections. Animations can be turned on and off in unpublished apps. It is also possible to control how many visible bubbles are displayed in a scatter plot. This can now be set to show up to 50.000 points. Bubbles and labels outside the set range will not be shown.

Natural Language Insights

A new Natural Language Insights (NL Insights) element has been added to the dashboard bundle. The object displays insights for measures and dimensions in natural language. This allows for effective communication of data insights with the user. The analyses are offered based on selected data. Unwanted analyses can be removed by developers.

Also, two new connectors have been added; ServiceNow (ODBC) for exposing data from ServiceNow, such as incidents, requests and case records. And a renewed connector for Amazon S3 with improved security.

Qlik Cloud

The previously mentioned functionalities under Client Managed have been available in the Qlik Cloud platform for a while now. Furthermore, a number of additional innovations have been implemented in Qlik Cloud.

Filter compartments can be displayed as a grid, so that all possible values ​​are visible at a glance. Additionally, the search functionality can be edited, the frequency of each value can be shown in histogram view and there is a compact view to optimize the available space.

Layout options have been added for styling axes, axis values ​​and labels in various visualizations such as the bar chart and scatter plot. Fonts, size and color can be changed in the Chart tab.

Breaking down time series

For measurements, it is now possible to split time series. This can be done via the Insight Advisor under Analysis Types or by adding a modifier in the measurement value itself.

Automations can be started by different users by means of a button. Previously, only the owner of the automation could use a button object for execution. The owner of the automation can determine which users can start it.

A new role has been added for contributing to the data services. Previously, all professional users could also manage data spaces. A special role is now available for this. Current professional users are assigned this role by default.
