Qlik CEO Mike Capone kicks off the event the Mandalay Bay conference centre by highlighting the challenges and opportunities that data experts face in all organisations. Now more than ever, businesses are looking to data to find certainty in a world of uncertainty!

Moving to the Cloud

A major role was played by the Qlik Cloud Platform, which facilitates analytics as well as data integration and reporting and where all new developments will be published first. A wide range of tooling is available to analyse whether an existing Qlik Sense environment is ready for the cloud. Qlik Cloud Analytics is built on the same engines with the same associative model and analysis capabilities as Qlik Sense Client Managed.

Data Integration

With Qlik Data Integration (QDI), Qlik has a mature data management product that excels in its ability to solve complex data integration problems and process large volumes of data quickly and accurately. QDI enables users to streamline data integration and automate workflows, allowing organisations to effectively manage their data needs and generate better insights from their data.

Acquisition of Talend

Qlik is working on a full end-to-end data platform, in which Qlik Data Integration plays a leading role. The acquisition of Talend marks another big step in the right direction. Talend develops solutions for structuring and integrating data, which is known as Data Fabric. It allows data from various sources to be accessed and viewed. It is a low-code platform that combines data integration, quality and governance.

Roadmap

James Fisher (Chief Product Officer) took the stage to look back at the growth of the Qlik portfolio on the one hand (who remembers QlikView 2?), while also looking ahead to what's ahead. For instance, we can expect improvements in AutoML performance, data preparation and the insight advisor. But what about the integration of ChatGPT to figure out the correct syntax of a measurement for you?

Visual improvement

Visually, too, we can expect new things in the near future. New filter boxes have already been launched on Qlik Cloud, and these will soon be joined by new tables and pivot tables.

Data Afterhours

The biggest Qlik event of the year ended with a convivial get-together at the Allegiant stadium. After looking at the stadium from all angles, throwing some more balls, and a game of table football, QlikWorld 2023 was unfortunately at an end.
